The Cascais & Oeiras Chamber Orchestra proudly announces the 4th International Academy of Orchestra Conducting, to take place at the Cascais Conservatory of Music in Portugal from September 13-23, 2023. The International Academy includes an international competition for young conductors, where among the awards the first prize winner is asked to return as a professional guest conductor in the subsequent season.

OCCO was present at the inauguration of the new Art Village in Cascais, debuting the most recent auditorium in the county.

OCCO and the Cascais Music Conservatory will have another space at their disposal, which will have classrooms to support the Conservatory, as well as an auditorium with around 300 seats prepared to host rehearsals and concerts by OCCO.

After a postponement caused by the constraints of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Orchestra managed to hold, during the month of October, the 1st International Academy and Orchestral Conducting Competition.
