He was born in Lisbon in 1977.
At the age of six, he began his musical studies with his father, later enrolling at the Academia de Música de Santa Cecília.
He continued his studies with Prof. Luís Sá Pessoa, completing the Advanced Cello Course. He was a scholarship holder of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
He holds a degree from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. He has collaborated with the Orquestra Gulbenkian, Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, Orquestra de Câmara de Braga, and the Orquestra Clássica do Algarve.
He regularly collaborates with the Orquestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa. He is a permanent member of the Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras and teaches at the Conservatório de Música de Cascais.
