Graduated in Transverse Flute by the Lisbon Music University.
Liliana began her studies at 5 years old. She studied transverse flute at Academia de Música de Espinho with Jorge Salgado and Angelina Rodrigues. On her third year, 1998, she got the 1st prize on the school competition. Later, on the year 2000, she got a scholarship for the Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho still with her teacher Angelina Rodrigues. Within chamber music, she was in the class of Cesário Costa, Luís Carvalho and Nelson Alves. She participated in several school’s internships with the conductor Cesário Costa. Since 2001 she has been performing with the Orquestra de Pedroso, working with the conductors Altino Carvalho and Ivo Cruz. She participated on the 2nd Internship from the Banda Sinfónica da Bairrada conducted by Miguel Moreno Guna, on the Internship of the Orquestra de Sopros – Cinfães 2004 with the conductor Manuel Bonachera, and on the 2nd International Internship of the Orquestra da Região de Leiria/Fátima with the conductor Jean Sébastian Béreau.
Liliana attended several masterclasses with Trevor Wye, Vasco Gouveia, Ana Maria Ribeiro, Paulo Barros, Ilda Nunes, Istvan Matuz, Patrick Gallois, Jean Ferrandis, Michael Hasel, Olavo Barros, Sophie Pérrier and Félix Renglii. In 2004 she entered to the Lisbon Music University with Professor Antony Pringsheim. Within chamber music classes, she worked with Nuno Inácio and Paulo Pacheco. She performed with the Wind Orchestra of the university with the conductor Alberto Roque, and with the Orquestra Sinfónica under the direction of the conductor Vasco Azevedo. On that same year and with the Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil, she premiered Hymnem mit Orchester from Karlheinz Stockhausen, with the conductor Pedro Amaral, and also Sinfonia (2004/2005) with Christopher Bochman as composer and conductor.
Liliana teaches transverse flute at the Cascais Music School, and also at Crescendo Escola de Música (Oeiras) and at Centro Musical de Cascais.
