Aldara Conceição Morais Medeiros was born in Lisbon in 1994, began her musical studies in the Loures Volunteer Fire Band. A year later, she entered the National Conservatory of Music in Lisbon, starting her studies in the class of Professor Nuno Silva.
In 2013 Aldara Medeiros entered the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, where she completed her degree in orchestral instrumentalist in the clarinet variant, in the class of professor Nuno Silva. In this institution she had the opportunity to join the Orquestra Académica da Metropolitana, under the baton of Jean Marc Burfin and to collaborate sporadically with the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, conducted by Michael Zilm, Emilio Pomarico and Pedro Amaral.
Aldara Medeiros then completed a Master’s Degree in Musical Interpretation and Preformative Research at the Facultad de Música y Artes Scénicas at the Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid with professors Venancio Rius and Yehuda Gilad.
Later, she had the opportunity to join the BW Akademie Freiburg of Contemporary Music, in September 2018.
Currently, Aldara Medeiros is a member of the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra and teaches clarinet at the Cascais Music Conservatory, St.Julian’s School, International Sharing School and Academia Doartes.
