Born in Barcelona in 1996, Laura Brasó began her musical training early on, studying piano, viola, and choral singing. At the age of 14, she began her vocal studies with mezzo-soprano Francesca Roig and later graduated in lyric singing from the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona.
Throughout her career, she has received masterclasses from renowned artists such as Nelly Miricioiu, Mariella Devia, Carlos Álvarez, Jaume Aragall, Luciana Serra, and pianist Sholto Kynoch, among others.
She has been awarded on several occasions, notably winning First Prize at the 15th Les Corts International Music Competition (2019) and multiple awards at the 6th Tenerife Opera Singing Competition. She was a finalist at the 38th Logroño Singing Competition (2021) and at the 59th Viñas International Singing Competition, where she received five special prizes. In 2023, she was awarded Second Prize at the Logroño Singing Competition and at the 6th “Compostela Lírica” Competition. In 2024, she received First Prize at the 41st Logroño International Singing Competition. Most recently, she was a finalist at the 2nd Cascais Ópera International Competition, in Portugal.
Her upcoming project, “Llunyania,” in partnership with pianist Rubén Fernández Aguirre, with whom she regularly collaborates, features songs by Albéniz, Granados, and Miquel Ortega.
On stage, she made her opera debut in 2015 as Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, a role she later reprised at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville. Her repertoire includes, among others, the roles of Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Musetta (La Bohème), and Liù (Turandot). Her upcoming engagements include the role of Micaëla in Carmen and her debut next season at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
