She graduated in Singing from the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional de Lisboa in 2005, in the class of Filomena Amaro, having also worked with Manuela de Sá and currently with Joana Siqueira.
She collaborates with major national choirs and orchestras, having performed as a soloist in major repertoire works at the country’s leading concert halls, such as the Gulbenkian Foundation, Teatro S. Carlos, CCB, the Lisbon and Porto Coliseums, and Teatro D. Maria II, under the direction of Graeme Jenkins, Paul Daniel, Leonardo García Alarcón, Michael Corboz, Joana Carneiro, among other conductors.
She has taken part in numerous opera productions at TNSC, the Gulbenkian Foundation, and Teatro D. Maria II, taking on roles including Maestra delle Novizie (Suor Angelica), Myrtale/Albine (Thaïs), Mama Lucia (Cavalleria Rusticana), Larina (Eugene Onegin), Gertrude (Roméo et Juliette), and Annina (La Traviata).
She regularly performs in recitals of Baroque and Romantic music, and is also frequently invited by various chamber music ensembles, such as Ensemble Darcos and Camerata Atlântica, with whom she has performed both in Portugal and abroad. She recorded the role of Nina in Pergolesi’s “Il frate ‘nnamorato” with Músicos do Tejo.
Holding a degree in Law and the International Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists, Carolina Figueiredo also works in parallel in the field of legal translation.
