On 8 October, the Auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Cascais hosted a concert by students from the Ján Levoslav Bella Conservatory in Slovakia, joined by students from the Conservatório de Música de Cascais.
Throughout the evening we heard piano, violin, cello, flute, trumpet, voice, percussion and chamber music, in a 15-piece programme introducing Slovak composers such as Ján Levoslav Bella, Bohuslav Martinů, Eugen Suchoň, Juraj Hatrík and Pavol Krška. The concert closed with the Quintet by Portuguese composer Sérgio Azevedo, sealing the friendship between the two countries.
Thank you to all the young musicians for their energy and talent, and to everyone who joined us.
A project funded by the European Union.
