Coming from a family of musicians, he began his musical training with his grandfather, who introduced him to his first musical concepts. At a very young age, he joined the family ensemble “Mendes Harmónica Trio” and performed in concerts throughout the country.
He began his violin studies at the Lisbon Metropolitan School of Music and later continued at the Santa Cecília Academy of Music, in the class of Lígia Soares. He completed his entire academic training in Portugal, studying with Khatchatour Amirthanian, Valentim Stefanov, Beatriz Manzanilla, and Tiago Neto.
He has received several awards in Portugal and has gained extensive experience performing with national and international orchestras such as the Young Franco-German Philharmonics, the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra, and the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa. His versatility has allowed him to perform as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player in countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, and India.
He currently combines an active musical career as soloist of the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra with teaching at the Santa Cecília Academy of Music.
