From July 20 to 26, another edition of the International Conducting Academy took place, welcoming young conductors from various countries, including Spain, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Italy, China, Hong Kong, Germany, and Belgium.
It was an intense and demanding week for both the participants and the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra, filled with rehearsals, learning, and musical exchange. The final concert, held on July 26, marked the culmination of a week of dedicated work and artistic growth.
As in previous editions, a competition was held during the Academy, where three finalists were selected to conduct the orchestra at the final concert.
The prize-winning conductors of this edition were:
1st Prize – Yuxuan Du (China)
2nd Prize – Artūrs Švarcbahs (Lithuania)
3rd Prize – Li-Wei Huang (Taiwan)
