Conducting Academy 2023

On the week of, September 16-23, we had the presence of several young international conductors for the 2023 Conducting Academy.

A week of intense work not only for the conductors but also for our orchestra with many hours of rehearsal, which culminated in the concert on September 23rd at the Auditorium Senhora da Boa Nova which also featured the presence of soprano Maria Isabel Seabra.

During the Academy, the conductors also compete against each other for a prize and in which the 3 finalists direct the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra in the Final Concert.

So the award-winning conductors are

1st place – Michal Oren

2nd place – Changmin Park

3rd place – Simon Erdei
